Sample Analysis

The Audience Watch system includes a number of tools that can be used to examine audience sample trends over time, such as:

  • The number of people who are in a demographic or exposure group.
  • The percentage of people in a group who are intab.
  • The percentage of people in the sample who are in a group and intab.

The figure above shows the percentage of adults 18-49 in the sample who were in-tab during a two year period between Sept. 20, 1999 and June 25, 2001. It shows that the in-tab rates were good consistent for that period of time, with only occasional dips below 79%, and generally less than 83%.

The figure above shows the percentage of the total in-tab sample who were in-tab adults 18-49 for the same two year period. It shows a gradual decline for the first year from 43% to 41%. The trend then begins gradually rising again to about the same level that it was at two years previously.

The charts above required about 5 seconds to produce on a standard Pentium PC.
